President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President C.P Radhakrishnan and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have expressed grief over loss of lives in the road accident in Ferozepur, Punjab on Saturday. In a social media post, the President and the Vice President extended condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones in the accident. They also wished for the swift recovery of the injured. 

In a social media post on Saturday, the Prime Minister conveyed his condolences to the families who lost their loved ones. He wished a speedy recovery for those injured in the accident. The Prime Minister has also announced an ex-gratia of two lakh rupees for the next of kin of each deceased and fifty thousand rupees for the injured from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund.
