Home Minister Amit Shah is visiting Punjab today to flag in ‘Nasha Mukt Punjab Yatras’ in Jalandhar. The Home Minister will also be at a gathering on the occasion.

 

The Yatras, which were launched by BJP President Nitin Nabin on the 18th of this month from Pathankot, have covered a distance of 4,000 kilometres in all 117 Assembly Constituencies in 13 days. The objective of Yatras was to transform the fight against drugs in Punjab into a people’s movement.  

 

These yatras focused on three major challenges Punjab is currently facing, including rising drug abuse, deteriorating law and order and corruption at all levels of governance.
