In Mizoram, Union Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs, Dr L. Murugan, has called upon the people to actively participate in the nation-building process and contribute towards the vision of a developed India by 2047 under the Viksit Bharat initiative.
During an interaction with government officials at Kolasib district, the Minister emphasised that the Central Government places high priority on the development of the North East region.
The Minister appreciates Mizoram for emphasis on sports and women’s empowerment, describing these as important areas of progress. He also expressed hope that the railway line connecting Bairabi and Sairang would significantly boost development and improve connectivity in the region.
Highlighting Mizoram’s natural beauty, Dr Murugan said he had informed filmmakers from across the country about the state’s scenic landscapes and encouraged them to consider Mizoram as a filming destination. He further urged officials to take proactive measures to attract more tourists to the state.
