Union Home Minister Amit Shah paid tributes to the second Sarsanghchalak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Madhav Sadashivrao Golwalkar, on his death anniversary. In a social media post, Mr Shah said that he gave a strong ideological basis to cultural nationalism and established service as the biggest force for nation building.

The Minister added that, under his leadership, the Sangh awakened the people in every sphere of national life and gave new heights to national consciousness. Further, Mr Shah noted that the entire life of the second Sarsanghchalak of RSS, dedicated to social unity, integrity, and self-respect, is a unique example of national service. The Minister said that the ideals of the Guru of Swadeshi and national resurgence will forever inspire the younger generation to serve the nation.
