Heavy Rain, Thunderstorms Forecast Across India as IMD Issues Orange Warning for Kerala

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall over Kerala and Mahe tomorrow. Heavy rainfall is also expected over Uttarakhand, Parts of northeastern India, West Bengal, Karnataka, Konkan, Goa, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep during the next two days. The Weather Agency has predicted thunderstorms accompanied by hailstorms in East Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad for tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Thundersquall conditions are expected over Delhi, Chandigarh, Haryana, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Telangana and Vidarbha tomorrow. IMD said that thunderstorms and lightning are expected over Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Jharkhand, and Maharashtra during the next two days. Furthermore, a dust storm is expected over West Rajasthan, while hot and humid weather is expected over Odisha tomorrow.

The Met department said that a gradual rise in maximum temperatures by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius is expected over East India during the next two days. For Delhi, IMD has predicted a partly cloudy sky tomorrow. According to the Weather Agency, the maximum temperature will be around 38 to 40 degrees Celsius in the national capital, while the minimum temperature will hover around 27 to 29 degrees Celsius tomorrow.
