The Election Commission of India is conducting Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls in Telangana. A review meeting was held in Hyderabad to coordinate the third phase of this process. Senior Election Commission officials, led by Principal Secretary and Deputy Secretary, attended the meeting. State Chief Electoral Officer C. Sudarshan Reddy briefed officials on the assembly constituencies, appointed staff, and support centres established for SIR.

 

The Chief Electoral Officer said that 68.30% mapping of voters has been completed across the state so far. Election Commission officials gave a detailed presentation on the SIR process. They explained the constitutional provisions, representation rules, and voter registration regulations related to this exercise.
