External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar extended greetings on the occasion of BIMSTEC Day. In a social media post on Saturday, Dr Jaishankar said that BIMSTEC is advancing shared prosperity, connectivity, and resilience across the Bay of Bengal region. He added that India reaffirms its commitment to deepening collaboration with fellow BIMSTEC member states in the spirit of solidarity and mutual cooperation.
The Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) is a regional organization which is aimed at promoting economic cooperation between countries bordering the Bay of Bengal.
