On World Environment Day, Vice President C P Radhakrishnan said that trees play a vital role in bringing rainfall, improving air quality, reducing atmospheric carbon, and maintaining ecological balance. In a video message, Vice President Mr Radhakrishnan called upon every citizen to plant at least one tree near their home or at a suitable location. He highlighted that if every Indian plants a tree, the collective effort could result in the planting of crores of trees, making a significant contribution towards a cleaner and greener India. The Vice President also appealed to all citizens to participate in the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign.
