Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan alleges Opposition is weakening constitutional institutions

Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today alleged that the opposition is weakening constitutional institutions and breaking people’s faith in democracy. The Union Minister claimed that all this is being done with the support of foreign powers.

Addressing a press conference in Bhopal, he criticised the INDIA bloc and took a dig at the “Cockroach Janata Party, ” without naming it. Mr. Chouhan said that on one side, the people are standing with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to build a Viksit Bharat, while on the other side, the Opposition is disappointed and frustrated. Mr. Chouhan alleged that the Opposition is unable to win in the field or win the people’s trust, so it is trying to spread chaos on the streets.

The minister also criticised the Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi for supporting foreign countries. He said he is shocked by the attitude of favouring outsiders, hurting one’s own. Mr. Chouhan alleged that the opposition cannot stand to see the country’s entrepreneurs moving forward.

Referring to the by-election results, Shivraj said the BJP and NDA won in Bengal, Assam and Puducherry, and it is not just a victory but a victory of the people’s faith in Prime Minister Modi and the development of the country. He said the mandate is for the country’s resolve to build a Viksit Bharat.
