The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the date sheet for the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations 2027. The examinations for both classes will begin on 16th February next year, with papers commencing at 10:30 AM. According to the official timetable, the Class 10 examinations will conclude on 9th March, while the Class 12 examinations will continue until 9th April. As per the notification, Class 10 students will appear for examinations in 83 subjects, while Class 12 students will take examinations in 121 subjects.

The Board said the date sheet had been prepared after carefully considering more than 40,000 subject combinations to ensure that students do not face any clashes between examinations in the subjects they have opted for. Earlier, the Board had also announced the schedule for practical examinations and internal assessments for the 2026-27 academic session.

For schools across India and abroad, practical examinations and internal assessments for Classes 10 and 12 will be conducted from 1st January to 13th February next year. However, for winter-bound schools, practical examinations will be held earlier, from 9th November to 19th December this year.

More than 26.5 lakh students are expected to appear for the Class 10 board examinations, while over 19.8 lakh students will take the Class 12 examinations.

Notably, the CBSE has released the date sheet 101 days ahead of the commencement of the board examinations. Students can access the detailed timetable on the Board’s official website, cbse.gov.in.
