Eight people were killed and more than 60 others injured in overnight Ukrainian drone attacks on Russia. Russian officials today said two sprawling warehouses of Russia’s major online retailer were hit by Ukrainian drones overnight, one in the town of Kotovsk in the Tambov region and another in Elektrostal, near Moscow.
Tambov Governor Yevgeny Pervyshov said seven night-shift workers were killed and 25 injured in Kotovsk, while Moscow Region Governor Andrei Vorobyov said one person were killed and 36 people were injured in Elektrostal.
In a social media post Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy today said the strikes targeted two significant logistical facilities used to supply sanctioned components for drone production and navigation equipment. He added that an oil facility was also hit. Russia’s Defence Ministry said its air defences intercepted 379 Ukrainian drones overnight across 19 regions.
