Punjab Police recovered 12 sophisticated pistols and six hand grenades from three accused in Amritsar today. This is part of an illegal arms and explosives smuggling module backed by Pakistan’s ISI and foreign-based Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) operatives.

Police sources said that the accused had received the consignment to carry out activities aimed at disturbing public peace in the border state of Punjab. A case has been registered and further investigation is underway. This is the third such recovery of arms and ammunition during this week in Amritsar. Earlier, police confiscated 7 pistols from 2 accused with ammunition as well.
