Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs Dr L. Murugan visited several government institutions and development projects in Kolasib district today. The Minister toured the Regional Sports Training Centre at Saidan, PM SHRI Government Model Primary School-I, Diakkawn High School, Audrene Scism Children’s Home, and an Anganwadi Centre at Kolasib Vengthar. He interacted with students, teachers, staff, children and parents while reviewing ongoing programmes and welfare initiatives.
Dr Murugan also launched ICAR’s “Khet Bachao Abhiyan”, aimed at promoting chemical fertiliser-free farming and sustainable agricultural practices. Addressing farmers and agricultural officials, he stressed the importance of adopting modern technologies to improve productivity and crop quality. During the programme, he released a publication titled Weather-Based Agro-Advisories for Climate-Resilient Farming in Mizoram: A Compilation of Success Stories.
