The three-day international seminar Saushrutam 2026, organised by the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) in New Delhi, successfully concluded yesterday. The seminar brought together eminent academicians, surgeons and healthcare experts from countries including Thailand, Israel, Austria, the United Kingdom, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Nepal, Greece and India.

 

The Ministry of Ayush said participants shared their expertise and experiences in various fields of surgery and healthcare. Experts and faculty members from leading institutions, including AIIA, Banaras Hindu University, the National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur, and the Institute of Teaching and Research in Ayurveda, Jamnagar, also took part in the event. 

 

During the seminar, AIIA renewed its Memorandum of Understanding with IIT Delhi for another five years to strengthen collaboration in research and innovation. The Ministry said Saushrutam 2026 marks another important step towards integrating traditional knowledge with modern scientific advancements and promoting a holistic, evidence-based healthcare system.
