Indian Air Force holds Maroon Beret Parade for Garud commandos in Uttar Pradesh

The Indian Air Force marked the successful completion of training of its Special Forces operatives with a Maroon Beret Ceremonial Parade at Air Force Station Chandinagar, Uttar Pradesh.  Air Vice Marshal Rahul Gupta, Assistant Chief of Air Staff Operations (Space), reviewed the parade as the Chief Guest.

Addressing the newly inducted commandos, Air Vice Marshal Rahul Gupta congratulated the Garuds on successfully completing the rigorous training programme. He emphasised the importance of continuously honing Special Forces skills to meet the evolving security challenges.
 
The Chief Guest presented the Maroon Beret, Garud Proficiency Badge and Special Forces Tabs to the successful trainees and also gave away trophies to award winners.
 
The passing out ceremony parade featured demonstrations of specialised combat skills, including combat firing, hostage rescue operations, firing drills, assault explosives handling, obstacle crossing, wall climbing, slithering, rappelling and military martial arts.
 
The ceremonial parade marked the culmination of an intensive training schedule and the transformation of the trainees into Special Forces operators joining the elite Garud force.
