Asian stock market indices ended on a mixed note today. Taiwan’s Taiex as well as South Korea’s Kospi declined half a per cent and China’s Shanghai Composite as well as Japan’s Nikkei 225 remained largely unchanged with a negative bias.
In contrast, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng rose 1.1 per cent and Singapore’s Straits Times added 0.3 per cent.
Major European indices were trading on a muted note today.
London’s FTSE 100 slipped 0.3 per cent. Germany’s DAX as well as France’s CAC 40 were trading on a flat note with negative bias when reports last came in.
