Commemorating 90 years of Akashvani, the Puducherry station of All India Radio organised a walkathon today. The walkathon was flagged off near Ajanta Signal by Venkateswara Engineering College Principal Pradeep Devaneyan. Akashvani Puducherry Local Administration Head Ravi Mariyappan, Head of Programmes D. Senthil Kumar, Assistant Engineer R. Jayanthi and Programme Executives A. B. Elizabeth and Murugan were also present on the occasion.

 

The participants walked through various parts of the city before the event concluded near the Dupleix Statue on Beach Road. More than 100 employees of Akashvani Puducherry took part in the walkathon.
