Rajiv Kumar Jain, Director General, Akashvani and News Services Division (NSD), visited Akashvani Leh today and conducted a comprehensive review of the station’s functioning. During the visit, the Director General chaired a review meeting with officers and staff of Akashvani Leh. Detailed discussions were held on programme production, news gathering and news production, audience outreach, content quality, and the role of public service broadcasting in the Union Territory of Ladakh.
The Director General reviewed the station’s programming initiatives, with particular emphasis on local content, preservation and promotion of the region’s rich cultural heritage, and effective dissemination of information to remote and border areas. He appreciated the efforts of the station in serving diverse audiences through quality broadcasts in different languages and dialects of the region.
