In a dramatic operation at Renaissance Township, in Bardhaman of West Bengal, the Bengal STF has arrested a suspected Jaish militant Hamid Mondal. The militant is believed to be associated with the Sajjad Bhat faction.
Authorities allege that Mondal was involved in a plot to attack the Chief Minister. He is scheduled to be produced in court today.
Investigators say crucial evidence has been recovered from his mobile phone, including surveillance details of the Chief Minister’s movements, pointing to a larger conspiracy.
