A portal has been inaugurated today in Kolkata for registering homestays in West Bengal by the state tourism minister Sankar Ghosh. Homestay owners can register their names in the portal. At present 5479 homestays are operating in West Bengal at various tourist locations of which 2679 homestays are registered with the government.
