Vice President C P Radhakrishnan and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have paid tribute to the freedom fighter, and statesman K Kamaraj on his birth anniversary today.
In a social media post, the Vice President described him as one of the tallest leaders of Indian politics. He noted that Kamraj was a symbol of simplicity, integrity and selfless public service.
Mr Radhakrishnan highlighted that Kamaraj played a pivotal role in India’s freedom struggle and transformed countless lives through his pioneering efforts to expand education and promote inclusive development. The Vice President noted that his enduring legacy of service and nation-building continues to inspire generations.
While the Prime Minister said that K Kamaraj was a stalwart of India’s freedom movement and an exceptional public figure. Mr Modi noted that Kamraj dedicated his life to nation-building and his unwavering commitment to areas like education, inclusive development and the welfare of the underprivileged continues to guide generations.
