Veteran lyricist Dev Kohli who penned over a hundred songs for Bollywood films like Rajkumar – Hema Malini starrer ‘Lal Patthar’ (1971), Baazigar, Hum Aapke Hain Koun, and Maine Pyaar Kiya passed away today. He was 80. 

Dev Kohli's antim darshan will be held today afternoon in Mumbai. His last rites will be performed in the evening at Jogeshwari in Mumbai. Dev Kohli wrote songs for more than 100 hit films, like  'Maine Pyar Kiya', 'Baazigar', 'Judwaa 2', 'Musafir', 'Shoot Out At Lokhandwala', and 'Taxi Num 911', among others. He also worked on many hits with music directors like Anu Malik, Raam Laxman, Anand Raaj Anand, Anand Milind and others. He is the veteran lyricist who wrote numerous hit songs, such as 'Maaye Ni Maaye', 'Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhen', 'Geet Gaata Hoon', 'O Saki Saki', and others.
