In the US Open tennis, home favourite Jessica Pegula will take on second seed Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus in the women’s singles final tonight. The match, to be played at Arthur Ashe Stadium, will start at 1:30 AM Indian Standard Time.
       

USA’s Jessica Pegula, who is playing the final for the first time, knocked out world number one Iga Swiatek on her way to the final before beating Karolína Muchová in the Semifinal. The second seed Belarusian, on the other hand defeated Emma Navarro 6-3, 7-6(2) to enter the US Open final for a second consecutive year.
       

In Men’s singles, Taylor Fritz will take on World No. one Jannik Sinner of Italy in the final tomorrow. In the semifinal, Fritz defeated fellow American Frances Tiafoe, 4-6, 7-5, 4-6, 6-4, 6-1 to reach his first Grand Slam final. Sinner, on the other hand emerged victorious over Jack Draper of Britain in straight sets,7-5, 7-6 (3), 6-2.
