Union Minister Amit Shah to lay foundation stone of dairy plant worth Rs 255 crore in Ujjain

Madhya Pradesh is holding a major event today to promote milk production and the dairy sector. Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will attend the Gau Palak Sammelan in Bhopal.
 
A state-level Gau Palak Sammelan is being held today at the BHEL Dussehra Maidan in Bhopal. Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah will address the gathering. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will also attend the event. Amit Shah will honour women cattle farmers who have done good work in the field of animal husbandry. He will also distribute approval letters to beneficiaries of the Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Kamdhenu Yojana.
 
More than 35,000 cattle farmers and members of dairy cooperatives are expected to attend the event. Cattle farmers from Bhopal, Sehore, Betul, Rajgarh, Harda, Guna, Ashoknagar, Vidisha and several other districts will take part in the programme. Milk producers associated with the Bhopal and Indore milk unions will also receive bonus payments. Several dairy projects will also be launched, including a dairy plant worth 255 crore rupees in Ujjain and a facility related to milk products in Bhopal.
