The Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education has decided to introduce a new format of answer sheets for the 2027 High School and Intermediate examinations. The move aims to make the examination system more secure, transparent and free from malpractices.

Under the new arrangement, answer sheets will have a single main cover carrying a QR code. Scanning the code will display the logo of the Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education. The Board has also decided to use different colours for the answer sheets of Class 10 and Class 12.

For High School examinations, the A copies will be dark orange and the B copies dark blue. For Intermediate examinations, the A copies will be purple and the B copies green. The main cover and QR code will remain the same for both classes.

The Board has also made special arrangements to ensure the security of answer sheets. They will be kept in secure rooms under round-the-clock CCTV surveillance. The serial numbers of answer sheet bundles will also be recorded in registers to ensure proper monitoring of their storage and distribution.

The High School and Intermediate examinations are proposed to be held from the 5th to the 24th of February, 2027.
