Union Minister Manohar Lal, MP CM Yadav to grant housing approvals worth Rs 2,500 crore

Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will today grant housing approvals worth more than Rs 2,500 crore to over 42,000 beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana at Sanwer in Indore district. On the occasion, more than 38,000 families will also move into their new permanent homes. The Chief Minister and the Union Minister will also lay the foundation stone for the ambitious Indore-Ujjain Greenfield four-lane project, which spans 48.10 kilometres and is being built at a cost of over Rs 2,935 crore.

This high-speed greenfield corridor is being developed by the Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation under the hybrid annuity model and will make travel between Indore and Ujjain faster, safer, and smoother.

Yesterday, Mr Manohar Lal held a state-level review meeting in Ujjain with Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on preparations for Simhastha 2028. The Union Minister directed that all work related to sanitation, drinking water, food arrangements, security, transport, and health services be completed on a priority basis.
