The sixth batch of pilgrims for the ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra was flagged off from the Bhagwati Nagar base camp in Jammu early this morning amid tight security arrangements.
A total of 8,815 pilgrims left for the holy cave shrine in Kashmir. Of them, 3,989 pilgrims departed via the Baltal route, while 4,826 pilgrims took the Pahalgam route. To ensure the smooth movement of pilgrims, 363 vehicles were deployed.
The Yatra convoy proceeded under elaborate security arrangements, with escort provided by the Jammu and Kashmir Police, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and other security agencies to ensure the safe passage of pilgrims along both routes.
