In Maharashtra red alert of heatwave is sounded in Amravati, Wardha and Chandrapur districts of Vidarbha today.
The districts in east Vidarbha Region Brahmpuri, Gadchiroli, Chandrapur & Wardha recorded temperature upto 46 degrees Celsius, while Nagpur saw temperature upto 45 degrees celcius with heat wave grappling these districts yesterday.
The Regional Meteorological Department has also issued an orange alert for Nagpur, Gadchiroli and Akola districts today.
