President Droupadi Murmu has extended her greetings to the people of the country, particularly the people of Odisha, on the occasion of the harvest festival Raja.
In a social media post, the President described Raja as a welcoming festival of the monsoon season that is celebrated to honour the earth, motherhood and the clouds. She said the festival reflects the deep bond between nature and society and is marked by traditional festivities, including pithas, betel leaves and swing games.
The President further expressed hope that the spirit of the festival would inspire people to live in harmony with nature and dedicate themselves to nation-building. She also wished happiness, peace and prosperity for the people of Odisha as well as the entire country.
