Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed condolences over the loss of lives due to a mishap in Madhya Pradesh’s Agar Malwa district. In a social media post, the Prime Minister extended condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. Mr Modi also announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh from Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund for the next of kin of each deceased. The injured would be given an amount of 50,000 rupees.
A major accident took place in Madhya Pradesh’s Agar Malwa district today. A car carrying devotees was swept away by the strong current of a rainwater drain. Eight people, including three children, two women and three men, perished in the accident.
