In Odisha, preparations are in the final stage for the world-renowned Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath, to be held in Puri on the 16th of this month.
The sibling deities are presently observing Anasara, the fortnight-long ritual convalescence following Snana Purnima, during which traditional herbal treatment is administered by the Raj Vaidyas inside the Shree Jagannath Temple. Devotees are now eagerly awaiting Nabajaubana Darshan, the first public appearance of the rejuvenated deities on the eve of the annual chariot festival.
Meanwhile, the Odisha Government has made elaborate arrangements for security, crowd management, traffic regulation, sanitation, healthcare and emergency response.The construction and decoration of the three majestic chariots of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra have entered the final stage as the pilgrim town prepares to welcome lakhs of devotees from across the country and abroad.
