The Ministry of Health achieved a significant milestone for the National Tele Mental Health Programme of India by receiving over two lakh calls on the Tele MANAS Helpline since its launch in October 2022. The Ministry said, the service is functional over 42 Tele MANAS Cells across 31 States and Union territories. It is catering to over thirteen hundred calls per day in 20 languages by nineteen hundred trained counsellors running first-line services.

Union Health Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya, while congratulating the countrymen, said the Government is committed to providing access to quality mental healthcare for all across the country.
