MP Deputy CM Rajendra Shukla Reviews Health Situation in Balaghat After Child Deaths

Madhya Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla today reviewed the situation in Balaghat district following the deaths of several children from the Baiga tribal community over the past three months.

 

During a virtual review meeting, Mr. Shukla directed officials to strengthen healthcare services in remote and rural areas. He stressed the timely registration of pregnant women, regular antenatal check-ups, early identification of high-risk pregnancies and 100 per cent institutional deliveries.

 

The state government has posted 67 new Medical Officers in the district and approved two crore rupees to strengthen health facilities. Directions have also been issued to establish two new Primary Health Centres, one Sub-Health Centre and two Mobile Medical Units. Mr. Shukla also directed officials to ensure complete vaccination of children and the timely identification and treatment of congenital diseases.
