India to begin their 3-match T-20I series against Afghanistan in New Delhi today

In men’s cricket, India will begin their three-match T20 International series against Afghanistan at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi this evening. The match will start at 7 PM Indian time. The remaining two matches of the series will be played at the same venue on Tuesday and Thursday.

Shreyas Iyer will lead India, with Tilak Varma as his deputy. Teenage batter Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has also been named in the team.

India have won eight of their nine T20Is against Afghanistan, with one match ending without a result.

Meanwhile, Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory for spectators, as the match coincides with the second and final day of the BRICS Summit. Traffic restrictions, diversions and parking regulations will be in place in and around the stadium and parts of central Delhi from 2 PM onwards.

Spectators have been advised to plan their journeys, use alternate routes and use only designated entry, parking and app-based taxi pick-up and drop-off points.
