Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh today said that India has witnessed significant progress across sectors under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the past 12 years. Addressing a press conference in Imphal to mark 12 years of the NDA government, Mr Singh said Manipur has benefited from major initiatives in infrastructure, healthcare, education, sports, connectivity and social welfare.
The Chief Minister highlighted key achievements, including the establishment of the National Sports University, implementation of the Inner Line Permit system and the setting up of a medical college in Churachandpur. Deputy Chief Minister Losii Dikho also highlighted the country’s progress in reducing emissions and strengthening border infrastructure along the Indo-Myanmar border. He said, fencing work along the Indo-Myanmar border is being carried out on a war footing.
