Maharashtra CM Fadnavis stresses need to update curricula to prepare students for evolving demands

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has said educational institutions must focus on creating an industry-ready workforce equipped with advanced, employment-oriented skills. He was speaking after inaugurating the AI Centre for Competency at Ramdeobaba University in Nagpur today.
 
The Chief Minister said emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, semiconductors and quantum computing will shape the future, making it essential for educational institutions to modernise their teaching methods.
 
He noted that while Artificial Intelligence is expected to transform nearly 70 per cent of jobs over the next 1,000 days, employment opportunities will continue to grow with changing skill requirements. Mr. Fadnavis stressed the need to update curricula and training programmes to prepare students for the evolving demands of the future workforce.
