Kojagari Lakshmi Puja is being celebrated today across Tripura, with Hindu families throughout the state worshipping Goddess Lakshmi, the deity of wealth, prosperity and abundance. People from different communities, including tribal communities, are also participating in the puja with devotion and reverence, praying for family happiness and prosperity.
Homes have been decorated with traditional alpana designs, while homemakers have arranged offerings of naru, flattened rice and various sweets to worship Goddess Lakshmi.
Kojagari Lakshmi Puja is also an occasion for social gatherings, with many people celebrating the festival by organising picnics.
