The Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), in collaboration with the Urban Forest Division, launched a mega plantation drive under the ‘Green Jammu, Clean Jammu’ initiative. More than two thousand saplings were planted along the Sunjwan-Chowadi Road under the National Clean Air Programme.
The drive aims to improve air quality, enhance urban biodiversity and develop green zones. JMC Commissioner Dr Devansh Yadav said nearly fifty thousand trees will be planted across Jammu during the current monsoon season and appealed to citizens to actively participate in protecting and nurturing the newly planted saplings.
