The world’s highest railway arch bridge, the Chenab Bridge in Reasi district, has become a major attraction for pilgrims undertaking the annual Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra. Akashvani Jammu Correspondent reports that thousands of devotees travelling through the region are making brief stops to witness the engineering marvel towering above the Chenab River.
The bridge has become a popular photo and sightseeing destination, adding a unique travel experience to the spiritual journey. Pilgrims expressed admiration for the iconic structure, describing it as a symbol of India’s engineering excellence and the rapid infrastructure development taking place in Jammu and Kashmir. Many visitors captured photographs and videos of the bridge before continuing towards the holy Amarnath Cave Shrine. The Chenab Bridge, which forms part of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project, has significantly enhanced connectivity in the region and has emerged as one of the most visited landmarks in Jammu and Kashmir.
