8 killed, 59 injured in Israeli air strike on Lebanon

At least eight people have been killed and 59 injured in Lebanon capital Beirut after air strike carried out by Israel forces. Several news outlets reported that a top Hezbollah commander, Ibrahim Aqil, has been killed in the strike. It comes amid the latest cross-border exchange of fire, with Hezbollah launching more than 100 rockets into Israel today. The strikes came hours after Hezbollah’s chief, Hassan Nasrallah, threatened tough retaliation for the back-to-back attacks that targeted the militant group’s communication infrastructure with explosives hidden in communication devices.

Meanwhile, In another development, a  senior commander of Iraq’s Hezbollah Brigades Abu Haidar was killed in a drone strike near Damascus International Airport today.The attack targeted the commander’s vehicle on a road adjacent to the airport in the Sayyida Zeinab area.
