The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange color warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall over Chhattisgarh, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Odisha today. Heavy rainfall is also likely to prevail over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Jharkhand, Kerala, Mahe, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Uttarakhand, Vidarbha, West Bengal and Sikkim during the day.

The Weather Department has forecast thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds over Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal till tomorrow. According to IMD, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Bihar, East Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Telangana, West Bengal and Sikkim are also expected to witness similar weather conditions during the next two days.
