Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan has said that in an interconnected world, international cooperation is not merely a diplomatic choice but a strategic necessity for global peace, security and prosperity.
Addressing the 66th National Defence College Course in New Delhi, Mr Radhakrishnan said the essence of global collaboration lies in recognising and respecting shared interests and converting them into collective action. He added that global challenges such as climate change and terrorism demand a collective response.
Mr Radhakrishnan highlighted that ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ is not just a slogan for India. He said India is among the first countries to offer assistance whenever a disaster or tragedy strikes another nation.
The Vice President said India aims to become the most powerful nation in the world, not to dominate or dictate terms to others, but to ensure that no country dictates terms to India.
