India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast that the intense rainfall and thunderstorm is likely to continue over Northeast India till Monday. Heavy rainfall and snowfall is likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. IMD has also predicted light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms over Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, East Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh till tomorrow.
The weather office has forecast heatwave conditions over North Interior Karnataka, Telangana and Rayalaseema till Wednesday. IMD has predicted a rise in maximum temperatures by 2 to 3 degree celsius over many parts of Central and East India during next two to three days.
