A delegation led by Mark Patterson, New Zealand’s Minister for Rural Communities, today met Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla at Parliament House in New Delhi. In a social media post, Mr Birla said that the meeting underscored the importance of strengthening parliamentary exchanges and further deepening the longstanding ties between India and New Zealand. Mr Birla added that during the visit to Parliament House, the delegation was introduced to India’s vibrant parliamentary democracy, rich democratic traditions and architectural grandeur.
