Forecasting heavy rainfall in Keralam, the India Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert in all the 14 districts of the state today. The yellow alert will continue in three districts tomorrow. An orange alert has been issued for Kannur and Kasaragod districts on the 6th, and for Kannur, Kasaragod and Kozhikode districts on the 7th of this month.

Heavy rainfall is expected to continue until the 8th of this month. Due to adverse weather conditions and rough seas, fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea along the Keralam-Lakshadweep and Karnataka coasts.
