India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast thunderstorms accompanied by lightning at isolated places over Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Kerala, Mahe, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Rayalaseema today. The IMD added that Squally weather conditions are likely to prevail over the Lakshadweep area, adjoining the southeast Arabian Sea and southern parts of the east-central Arabian Sea today. The Met Department has advised fishermen to not venture into these areas.
The weather department has predicted no significant change in minimum temperatures over Northwest, Central and East India and Maharashtra during the next 2 days followed by a gradual fall by 2-4 degrees Celsius thereafter. Further, the Met Department has predicted a rise in minimum temperatures by 2-3 degrees Celsius over the Gujarat Region during the next 3 days and a gradual fall by 3-4 degrees Celsius thereafter.
The IMD has also forecast smog and mist in the morning and night hours of Delhi-NCR with clear sky during the day.
