India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heatwave conditions today over Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Uttar Pradesh and West Rajasthan. Hot and Humid weather conditions are expected during the day at places over Konkan and Goa and Odisha.

 

Meanwhile, heavy rainfall conditions are expected over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Coastal Karnataka and Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim. Parts of Bihar, Interior Karnataka, Kerala, Mahe, Konkan, Goa, Tamil Nadu Puducherry, Karaikal, Telangana and north-east India are also likely to witness rainfall during the next 2-3 days.

 

According to the Met Department thunder squalls are expected today over Bihar and Gangetic West Bengal. Thunderstorms and lightning are likely today in places over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and Puducherry.
