Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will address the Industry Conclave in Lucknow today, on the third and last day of his three-day visit to the city. The conclave is being organised under the PM Setu Yojana, where discussions will be held on topics related to skill development, entrepreneurship, and vocational education. Before attending the conclave, Mr Singh will listen to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat programme. He will also lay the foundation stones for 12 development projects worth rupees 101 crore in the Lucknow Cantonment area in the presence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

On the second day of his visit yesterday, the Defence Minister inaugurated the Fragrance Park in Lucknow and said that parks and public spaces bring people together. In an increasingly busy lifestyle, such spaces help strengthen social bonds. During the programme, he unveiled statues of Lala Lajpat Rai and Shaheed Bhagat and also laid the foundation stone of various development projects worth rupees 4,313 lakh. He also addressed the 11th Convocation ceremony of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University and inaugurated a senior citizens’ home in the Gomti Nagar area.
