As part of nationwide drive to prevent cervical cancer, the HPV Vaccination campaign will start in West Bengal from 30th May this year. Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari today announced that the HPV Vaccination drive will be initiated from the Bidhannagar Sub Divisional hospital in Kolkata on that day. He informed the media, over seven lakh vaccine doses have been earmarked for West Bengal by the central government.

The Chief Minister also mentioned that special emphasis is being given to eradicate leprosy in West Bengal. There are many districts where cases of leprosy are very alarming. Mr. Adhikari also informed that a workshop on TB Mukt Bharat will be organised on 30th May in which law makers will also be present.
