The Met Department has forecast that heavy to very heavy rain is likely to occur in Devbhoomi Dwarka, Rajkot, Bhavnagar and Valsad districts of Gujarat during the next 24 hours. 102 blocks have received widespread rainfall. Bhavnagar has received the highest rainfall of around five inches. Normal life has been affected by heavy rains in Junagadh district.
 
Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel over the prevailing flood situation in several districts of the state. He assessed the situation and assured that the state and National Disaster Response Force are ready for relief and rescue work.
